Management Enrichment Program

The Management Enrichment Program (MEP) is designed to introduce participants to the theory and practice of the subjects that will be the most useful to them as they advance through their careers and as described for each MEP session. The target audience is chief administrative/financial managers of academic and administrative departments with budgets =>$20 million. Thus participants in the MEP are expected to occupy positions typically graded at MSP2-level and above.

Upon completion of this program, each participant will have an increased understanding of the theory and practice of high-level decision-making, the context within which decisions are made at UCLA, and membership in a broader cohort of UCLA problem solvers/decision makers.

The MEP consists of 8 sessions each of which will last approximately 4 hours. The sessions are intended to be interactive and will be facilitated. Included in each session will be a presentation by a subject expert, case-studies and/or group work, presentation/discussion by a panels of UCLA senior managers with time for Q&A throughout the session.  Time will be allowed at the end of each session for the participants to obtain feedback on their projects which will be presented in the final session.
