Staff Diversity & Compliance
UCLA is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer. The University undertakes affirmative action to assure equal opportunity for minorities and women, for persons with disabilities, and for covered veterans.1
UCLA maintains written Affirmative Action Plans (AAPs) for Women and Minorities, Persons with Disabilities and for Covered Veterans, as required by federal laws and regulations. The AAPs are comprised of programmatic activities and goals for the campus, as well as campuswide workforce statistics.
The AAPs are updated annually and are available for viewing during normal working hours in the Staff Diversity and AA/EEO Compliance Office, UCLA Libraries, or by clicking on the Staff Affirmative Action Plans link located on the right.
In addition, a comparative workforce data summary for the period of October 31, 2006, to October 31, 2010, is available. The data summary describes the gender/ethnic distribution of the UCLA career workforce in total and by each personnel program. This data summary can be accessed by clicking on the corresponding link to the right.
Please click on the links on the right for programs and resources available across campus, including the Academic Affirmative Action Plan and the UCLA Diversity Web.
1 Covered Veterans includes veterans with disabilities, recently separated veterans, Vietnam-era veterans, veterans who served on active duty in the U.S. Military, Ground, Naval or Air Service during a war or in a campaign or expedition for which a campaign badge has been authorized, or Armed Forces service medal veterans.
