Re: Call for Nominations for 2020-21 Systemwide UC Women’s Initiative for Professional Development

Dear Colleagues:

We are pleased to call for nominations for the 2020-21 Systemwide UC Women’s Initiative (UC WI) for Professional Development and encourage you to consider this valuable opportunity for mid-career women, including staff and faculty/academic personnel, to participate.

UC WI is an experiential professional development program for women who have demonstrated the potential to advance in their careers at the University. This program is sponsored by the Systemwide Advisory Committee on the Status of Women (SACSW) and the UC Office of the President.

This nomination process covers two regional cohorts that are offered in Southern California, January – March and April – June. Each cohort will include 30 participants. The cost to participate is $1,050, which covers virtual program delivery, and all program resources, tools, and support. Travel and other expenses for in-person deliveries are the responsibility of the individual participant’s department. In the future, the program timeline will align with our academic/fiscal year.

Please submit your nominations using the online 2020-2021 UC WI Nomination Form.

The deadline for nominating a candidate is October 14, 2020.

For more information about the program, you may visit the UC Women’s Initiative for Professional Development website or contact Rejeana Mathis (rmathis@chr.ucla.edu) in Campus Human Resources.

Sincerely,
