New VSP ID Numbers
UCLA employees now have the option to use a new alternate VSP ID number when receiving services from a VSP provider, contacting VSP directly, or to access the VSP web site. All VSP providers will continue to honor social security numbers as identification if an employee prefers this method.
Here’s how to create your new 11-digit VSP ID number:
- The first two digits are your UCLA location code, which is 04.
- The following nine digits are comprised of your UCLA employee ID number.
- Combine the first two digits (04) with the nine digits in your UCLA employee ID number and you have your VSP ID number for VSP services and web-site usage.
UCLA staff who work in two different areas on campus should use the location code from where you enrolled your benefits.
For questions about your VSP ID number, please contact VSP Member Services at 1-800-877-7195, M – F, 6 a.m – 7 p.m. and Sat., 6 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. If you don’t know your new VSP ID number at the time of the call, provide your social security number as identification.
