7 Power Skills to Boost Your Happiness & Optimism

Want to feel more energetic, empowered and motivated at work and in your life? Then "7 Power Skills to Boost Your Happiness & Optimism at Home and Work," presented by Dr. Darlene Mininni, is for you.

If you’re like most people, your life has its ups and downs. That’s why having a no-nonsense plan to master your feelings is priceless. For 15 years, Dr. Mininni was on staff at the UCLA Arthur Ashe Health & Wellness Center where she taught students innovative ways to stay happy and healthy. Through her work she discovered that even the most intelligent people can stumble without a plan to navigate their emotions; so she created one.

Her emotional education course was so popular, the number of applicants jumped from 30 to 700 in just 18 months! Soon her students’ parents were calling them to find out the latest class lessons. From this overwhelming response, Dr. Mininni realized that we’re all looking for the emotional education we never had. She now makes her classroom available to people of all ages through her writing, seminars and workshops.

In this presentation, Dr. Mininni uses stories, lecture and demonstration to show you how to:

  • Boost your happiness with seven scientifically proven “power skills”
  • Discover the hidden messages your feelings send
  • Become emotionally fluent using her three-step system

Dr. Darlene Mininni is the author of The Emotional Toolkit, an emotional health specialist and former UCLA educator. She holds a Ph.D. in clinical psychology and an M.P.H. in health behavior. Dr. Mininni has been quoted in SELF, COSMO, Marie Claire and Ladies Home Journal and appeared on CNN, NPR and PBS.
