Benefit News — FITSCo Services Now Available

Good news! The transition to FITSCo of account and recordkeeping services for the Defined Contribution Plan and the 403(b) Plan is complete. Now you have access to the many new services and plan enhancements this changeover made possible, including expanded UC Funds and other investment options, as well as daily valuation.

Overview of new services:

  • Daily valuation recordkeeping
  • Expanded customer service hours
  • Consolidated quarterly statements
  • Single account access to DC, 403(b), and 457(b) plans
  • Retirement savings planning tools
  • Expanded UC Fund options & access to other investment options
  • Faster 403(b) loans
  • Availability of service in Spanish and other languages

With the transition complete, you can resume using your online account services such as directing or diversifying investments, changing contribution amounts, or enrolling in or obtaining a distribution from these plans, to name a few. And these services are easier than ever because they are all on the new consolidated Fidelity web site, which means all plan funds are in one place.

Important beneficiary designation information

If you have Fidelity and/or Calvert accounts for your 403(b) Plan, your beneficiary designations may have changed as a result of the transition. It is extremely important that you check your current beneficiary designations to make sure they are accurate and up to date.

You can verify your beneficiary information or change it by going to Fidelity’s web site or calling FITSCo at 1-866-682-7787, Monday through Friday, 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. (PST) to speak with a Retirement Services Specialist. Employees with a hearing or speech impairment can call 1-800-259-9743.

The new service and recordkeeping arrangement with FITSCO is designed to simplify and enhance account management for the DC Plan, 403(b) Plan, and 457(b) Plan. And the wider range of UC Funds and other investment options that UC has selected offer expanded opportunities for meeting your retirement-savings objectives. Watch for detailed information regarding the completion of the FITSCo transition in your home mailbox.
