Upcoming Salary Actions under Labor Contracts

Effective with the first full pay period in July 2015, several salary actions will be implemented for some of UCLA's represented employee populations per the terms of their union contracts. Increases will be effective July 5, 2015, for biweekly employees and will appear in the July 29, 2015, paychecks. The following is a summary of pending actions:

  • CX Teamsters - Clerical and Allied Services
2% range adjustment, already reflected in EDB (no further action needed unless an omission is noted, then manual processing would be necessary). All eligible employees receive a single step increase (manual entry by departments required).
  • EX AFSCME – Patient Care Technical
Experience based step increase per existing schedule (web merit processing)
  • SX AFSCME – Service
All eligible employees receive a single step increase (web merit processing)

Additional actions are scheduled for the Police (PA) and Nurses (NX) unions. Those with affected employees in these groups will be contacted directly.

Each year, when salary actions coincide with fiscal year end, care is taken to ensure that the timing of activities minimizes the impact to departments and their staffing rosters. Accordingly, the "black out" period for entering actions in EDB will begin after the close of business Friday, June 19, 2015, and extend through the morning of Thursday July 2, 2015, when entry may resume. Web Merit rosters for department input are scheduled to be available by Wednesday, June 24, 2015.
