As the next step in implementing our collective bargaining agreements between the University of California and the Service Unit (SX), Technical Unit (TX), Research Unit (RX), Clerical Unit (CX) and Skilled Crafts Unit (SETC), the following wage changes are effective October 1, 2007, for employees paid monthly and October 7, 2007, for employees paid biweekly.
Employees eligible for each of the following changes are those in the bargaining unit on active status or on an approved leave on the effective date of the increase and the date of payout. Rates may vary slightly due to rounding.
The following changes will be implemented centrally.
Service Unit (SX)
- Range Adjustment: All SX ranges will be increased by 4.5%. Consistent with this range movement, unit employees, including those over the maximum of the range, will receive a 4.5% salary increase.
Technical Unit (TX)
- Range Adjustment: All TX ranges will be increased by 3.7%. Consistent with this range movement, unit employees, including those over the maximum of the range, will receive a 3.7% increase.
Research Unit (RX)
- Range Adjustment: All RX ranges will be increased by 3.8%. Consistent with this range movement, unit employees, including those over the maximum of the range, will receive a 3.8% increase.
Clerical Unit (CX)
- Range Adjustment: All CX ranges will be increased by 4.5%. Consistent with this range movement, unit employees will receive a 4.5% increase.
- Addition of Steps: Two half-steps will be added to the top of the salary range for all CX titles with the exception of the Library Assistant titles.
Skilled Crafts (SETC)
- Rate Adjustment: All SETC rates will be increased by 4%. Consistent with these rate changes, unit employees will receive a 4% increase.
New rates will be updated in EDB on the evening of October 12, 2007, and will be available for review in EDB on October 15, 2007. New rates for biweekly paid employees will be reflected on the October 31, 2007, paycheck for which IPAY screens can be reviewed on October 26, 2007. New rates for monthly paid employees will be reflected on the November 1, 2007, paycheck for which IPAY screens can be reviewed on October 29, 2007. The Title and Pay Plan will reflect the new rate by October 21, 2007.
