New Title Codes for Selected Staff Positions
In preparation for the transition to PeopleSoft, the Office of the President has identified a group of titles which exist at all UC locations; however, these titles may have a different FLSA exemption status depending on the nature of the job duties and responsibilities at a particular location. In order to accommodate the variations in PeopleSoft, UCOP has created new title codes for the affected positions.
Staff in these specific title codes will be re-assigned to the newly established title codes. For the campus, this process will be handled centrally by CHR Personnel & Policy Services; therefore, no action is needed by campus departments. There will be no change to the position’s FLSA exemption status, salary or appointment. The transition to the new title codes will be effective December 1, 2012.
