Proposed Salary Plan for Policy-Covered Staff Employees in FY 2014-15

Dear Colleagues,

I am pleased to inform you that at the direction of President Janet Napolitano, the University is making plans to implement a systemwide salary increase program for policy-covered staff for the 2014-15 fiscal year. For employees covered by Academic Personnel policies, information regarding salary plans will be issued in the near future.

As reflected in budgetary guidelines, the targeted increase will be 3 percent, calculated on the basis of a July 1, 2014, effective date. This salary increase plan will apply to policy-covered (non-represented) staff excluding student employees. Individual salary increases may vary depending on performance criteria, and we request your support in conducting performance appraisals in anticipation of implementing the Salary Plan.

Implementation guidelines for FY 2014-15 are being developed by Campus Human Resources and Health Sciences Human Resources and will be issued within the next two months.

We appreciate the many contributions and services provided by our staff in supporting the University’s mission and goals. The implementation of this salary increase plan will help to establish consistent and stable pay practices while also maintaining our competitiveness in attracting and retaining the best talent for the University.
