Nominations are now being accepted for the 2014 Staff Assembly Recognition Awards and Staff Scholarships. The event shines a spotlight on the outstanding achievements of UCLA employees that make a significant and lasting impact on the University.
The UCLA Staff Assembly is accepting nominations and applications for the following awards:
- Faculty/Staff Partnership Award
In recognition of the value of collaboration and collegiality, staff members are encouraged to nominate faculty members who actively develop and encourage faculty/staff partnerships. - Staff Scholarships
Staff members may apply for scholarships in support of their career enhancement and professional growth. Each award covers the cost of education and training up to $500. The UCLA Retirees’ Association is the proud sponsor of four of these scholarships. - Chancellor’s Excellence in Service Awards
Two awards will be presented to staff members who have demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to UCLA’s mission through contributions that have made a significant impact on the University, including championing inclusiveness, diversity, and cultural competency at all levels and creating a meaningful work experience for everyone. We encourage nominations from campus organizations, as well as the Health System, since an award recipient will be chosen from each area. The individuals selected for this prestigious honor will each receive a $2,000 award.
Program criteria and application/nomination forms are available in Related Information on the Staff Assembly website. The deadline for nominations is Friday, April 18, 2014. Recipients of the awards and scholarships will be honored at the Staff Assembly’s Recognition Awards Reception on June 25, 2014, at the Faculty Center.
