Automated Employment Contract Process

A new enhancement has been added to the PeopleAdmin System, the automation of the employment contract process. As a result of the improved process, you will now be able to:

  • Initiate an employment contract online through PeopleAdmin by completing the contract template within the system.
  • Amend an existing contract by searching for the original contract and amending it online.
  • Receive electronic notification prior to a contract’s expiration.

With the implementation of this new process, contracts will be approved faster by Compensation & Employment Services. New contracts, amendments and addendums will generally be approved within a 72-hour turnaround time from the date received in Campus Human Resources. However, rehired retiree contracts may take longer due to the required policy and benefits review process.

Four training sessions are scheduled for October 23, 2009, in the UNEX Building, Room 219. Choose from one of the following sessions:

  • 8 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.
  • 10 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
  • 1 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.   
  • 3 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

RSVP to Ryan Lee at ryanlee@chr.ucla.edu and indicate which session you will be attending. If you are unable to attend any session, additional training sessions will be scheduled in the near future. In addition, an online tutorial detailing the steps needed to create a contract is being developed.
