Implementation of Merit Increase for TX and RX

As the next step in implementing the collective bargaining agreements between the University of California and UPTE on behalf of the Technical (TX) and Research (RX) Units, the following wage changes are effective January 1, 2007, for monthly paid employees and December 31, 2006, for biweekly paid employees.

Eligible employees for the following increases are those in the bargaining unit on active status or on an approved leave on the effective date of the increase, who have passed their probationary period and who are performing satisfactorily.

As these changes will be implemented via Web Merit, data corrections in EDB will need to be made in order to ensure that the rosters are accurate. You will be contacted about any missing data or necessary corrections within your organization. To support a successful merit process for these units, corrections need to be made no later than December 7, 2006.

Rosters will be run the evening of December 7, 2006, and will be available for both Departmental Users and Control Points for input beginning December 8, 2006. They will close to Departmental Users at the end of the day on December 13, 2006, and to Control Points at the end of the day on December 19, 2006. You can access the Web Merit on or after December 7, 2006.
