Walgreens Pharmacy announced its intent to exit the Express Scripts provider network when its current contract expires on December 31, 2011. UC Anthem members are encouraged to locate an additional pharmacy resource in the event that Walgreens and Express Scripts cannot reach an agreement by the end of the year.
To assist its members with any questions they may have, Anthem Blue Cross has created a Q&A, which is in Related Information. Employees and retirees with additional questions—or questions about specific medication needs—should call their Anthem Pharmacy number on their ID card.
