2016 AMG Excellence Awards' Recipients and Reception Details

 

Each year, the Administrative Management Group (AMG) shines the spotlight on employees who are dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in their careers at UCLA by awarding three honors: Leadership (EXCEL) Award, Distinguished Career Award and  Rising Star Award.

Congratulations to the following 2016 AMG award recipients:

Excellence in Leadership (EXCEL) Award — presented to Reem Hanna-Harwell, Assistant Dean, Humanities
This award honors management excellence by recognizing an individual who has had a significant and lasting impact on the people he/she leads, and who exemplifies the leadership qualities that UCLA values.

Distinguished Career Award — presented to Petrina Long, Associate Athletic Director, Intercollegiate Athletics
This award recognizes an individual who has led a distinguished career over a significant period of time at the University, has shared invaluable institutional knowledge with others, and has made important contributions to the campus as a whole.

Rising Star Award — presented to Peter Bracke, Communications Director, Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center
This award spotlights an individual with high potential to make a positive impact throughout his/her career, and who has established a leadership role on campus, while pursuing training and development opportunities for career growth.

Their contributions to the University will be celebrated at a special reception scheduled for July 27, 2016, from 12 p.m. – 2 p.m. at the Morgan Center, Press Room.
