Final Salary Plan for Policy-Covered Staff (FY 2005-06) Announced

Thanks to the efforts of University leaders, including the Chancellors, President Dynes, members of the Board of Regents and many others throughout the UC community this past year, the new State budget reflects the critical importance of continued State funding for UC salaries.

We are pleased to share with you the following information regarding the final salary plan for fiscal year 2005-2006 for policy-covered (non-represented) staff. (Salary actions for exclusively represented employees are determined in accordance with applicable collective bargaining agreements and/or meeting-and-conference as appropriate under the Higher Education Employer-Employee Relations Act.)

The fund pool for merit increases (covering range and merit funding) for policy-covered staff is 3.5%, effective October 1, 2005, for those on a monthly pay schedule and September 25, 2005, for those on a biweekly pay schedule. In order to be eligible for a merit increase, employees must have been on payroll by April 1, 2005, and have a performance rating of “satisfactory” or above.
