2013-14 Management Seminar Series

Campus leaders, including faculty, managers, and senior professional staff, are invited to participate in the 2013-14 Management Seminar Series. The theme of this year’s new series is “Leading During Turbulent Times – Successful Alignment and Engagement,” and it continues our partnership with UCLA Anderson’s Executive Education Program.

The program, designed to strengthen management competencies to effectively lead a diverse workforce in a fast-changing and challenging work environment, features presentations by national experts in their fields and interactive dialogue with campus peers and colleagues. This year’s program brings back acclaimed contributors and introduces new Anderson faculty to the series delivering seminars on current topics.

Quarterly sessions are offered on the following topics:

  • The Secrets to Meaningful Work, Maia Young, October 17, 2013
  • Sustainable Success, Iris Firstenberg, December 4, 2013
  • Authentic Leadership, Jenessa Shapiro, February 11, 2014
  • Persuasive Communication, Noah Goldstein, April 2, 2014

For more information about the series, review the eBrochure in Related Information. To enroll, visit the UC Learning Center in Related Information and select the Management Seminar Series category.

Package enrollments enjoy priority, since space is limited. Departments may reserve a package and designate different participants for individual seminars, provided they notify us in advance of their participation. The fee for a complete Seminar Series Package is $500 and $160 for individual seminars.

Your ongoing support of CHR Training and Development efforts to enhance leadership preparation is appreciated. Contact the Training Desk (training@chr.ucla.edu) for enrollment assistance and Robert Gibson (rgibson@chr.ucla.edu) for program information.
