Celebrate the achievements of UCLA's extraoridnary employees on Thursday, June 21, at the 2018 UCLA Staff Assembly Awards & Staff Scholarships Reception. The event will be held at the James West Alumni Center, Collins Conference Room, from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. with a reception to follow.
The following award recipients will be honored:
- Chancellor’s Excellence in Service Award — presented to Jane Bitar, Manager, Department of Communication, Social Sciences
The Chancellor’s Excellence in Service Award recognizes, encourages and reinforces the performance of staff members who have greatly contributed to UCLA’s ongoing mission.
- Faculty/Staff Partnership Award — presented to Christina Christie, Professor and Chair, Department of Education, Graduate School of Education and Information Studies
Honorable Mention to Stephen Aron, Professor and Chair, Department of History, Social Sciences
The Faculty/Staff Partnership award recognizes faculty who have exemplified the values of collaboration and collegiality with staff.

Supervisors are encouraged to grant employees sufficient release time to attend the reception provided that the absence would not infringe upon the performance of required job duties.
