UC Retirement Process Has Temporarily Moved to Remote Services

In response to the stay-at-home order issued by Governor Gavin Newsom for Californians, the UC Retirement Administration Service Center (RASC) has transitioned to remote operations. Please be assured that UC pension payments, including the upcoming April 1 benefit payment, will continue on schedule.

During this time, RASC representatives will be unable to answer calls as usual, or to receive physical mail in a timely manner. If you have an urgent question or service request, contact RASC by sending a secure message through your UC Retirement At Your Service (UCRAYS) account. You may send documents as secure message attachments or by fax to 1-800-792-5178.

If you are planning to retire on July 1, 2020, you must submit all required documents to RASC by May 15, 2020 in order for RASC to process your first retirement check on August 1, 2020. The August 1 date assumes that all documents are submitted and that there are not other circumstances, e.g., service credit adjustments or multiple tiers, that might impact processing time.

The fastest way to get your documents into RASC is by using your UCRAYS account. Attached are instructions and a step-by-step guide, Steps for Retirement Online, for uploading your retirement documents into UCRAYS. In April, you will also be able to track the progress of your retirement processing in UCRAYS.

For UCLA campus employees seeking retirement counseling, contact Camille Carr (last names A-K) at ccarr@chr.ucla.edu or Robert Larriva (last names L-Z) at rlarriva@chr.ucla.edu. They can assist you via email or phone contact. All UCLA Health employees must contact RASC if they have questions about retirement or want retirement counseling.
