Re:

Proposed Revisions to Personnel Policies for Staff Members (PPSM) 66 and 81

Dear Colleagues:

The University of California Office of the President is proposing revisions to PPSM 66 – Medical Separation and PPSM 81 – Reasonable Accommodation, which apply to regular status employees in the Professional and Support Staff, Management and Senior Professionals, and Senior Management personnel groups.

A systemwide workgroup developed proposed revisions that clarify and expand policy language in PPSM 66 and PPSM 81. The review included extensive consultation systemwide across a broad spectrum of functional areas. The proposed revisions are available for review at PPSM 66 and PSSM 81.

Because this is a formal review, comments are encouraged and will be considered before the final policy is adopted. We would appreciate your assistance in circulating the draft for review by employees within your organization.

Questions and comments from campus departments and staff may be sent by Thursday, November 1, 2018, to Kathleen Shiroma in CHR Employee and Labor Relations at kshiroma@chr.ucla.edu or from the Health Sciences to Jane Miller, Interim Director of Employee and Labor Relations, at janemiller@mednet.ucla.edu.

Sincerely,

Lubbe Levin
