Amended Executive Order on Paid Administrative Leave

Dear Colleagues,

In recognition of the extraordinary demands placed on University of California (UC) employees during the pandemic, UC President Drake has extended the expiration date of the Extended Paid Administrative Leave (PAL) for eligible academic and staff employees from December 31, 2020, to June 30, 2021. The conditions for use of the leave and the one-time allotment of 128 hours (or 16 days) have not been changed.

With President Drake’s extension, all hours must be used by June 30, 2021, or the allotment will expire. Please see the Amended Executive Order from President Drake (PDF) to review the executive order in full.
