Staff Affirmative Action provides consultative services to the UCLA community in the areas of affirmative action (AA), equal employment opportunity (EEO), and diversity:
- Maintains and distributes UCLA's staff Affirmative Action Plans
- Monitors campus affirmative action programs and activities, including progress toward statistical goals
- Provides consultative services to management and employees regarding application of AA and EEO regulations and campus policies
- Develops educational programs to address the needs of UCLA's increasingly diverse staff
- Provides training for supervisors and managers in diversity and sexual harassment prevention
- Investigates, mediates, and responds to employment discrimination complaints filed with SAA or government agencies by staff applicants or employees
- Investigates sexual harassment complaints filed by individuals against staff employees
