Deans, Directors, Department Chairs, and Administrative Officers

Re:

Chancellor’s Executive Education Fellowship

Dear Colleagues:

On behalf of Campus Human Resources, the Anderson School of Management, and the Office of the Chancellor, I invite applications for the Chancellor’s Executive Education Fellowship to the UCLA Anderson Executive Program. This fellowship is made possible by the generous support of Anderson’s Dean Antonio Bernardo and is intended to enhance the development of emerging leaders at UCLA.

The Executive Program is offered twice per year. However, in 2021, the Fellowship will only be offered for the Fall session, which runs from October 2, 2021 – February 14, 2022. At present, the Fall 2021 Executive Program is slated to take place in-person. Depending on health advisories and UCLA plans, Anderson will switch to a live online format if necessary.

Taught by Anderson faculty, the program delivers the essentials of an MBA education in an accelerated timeframe and covers leadership and key management areas, including:

  • Sessions that address leadership style to enhance decision-making, negotiation, and creativity, along with a hands-on business simulation to improve problem-solving and master complexity
  • Weekly class sessions on topics that include strategy, operations, marketing, change management, finance and accounting, and innovation
  • An Integrative Case Competition that marshals fact-based decision-making and requires novel, practical solutions judged by a panel of experts
  • Executive coaching to help clarify personal and professional goals and develop action plans to achieve them

The UCLA Anderson Executive Program is designed for leaders with significant management experience who have achieved, or have the potential to advance to, senior-management positions at the University. Nominees who have attained a UCLA position at the Management & Senior Professional (MSP) Program level will be given priority consideration for the fellowship. Secondary consideration will be given to academic appointees at the equivalent level who also hold a staff appointment.

One fellowship is offered for the Fall 2021 Executive Program. The deadline for applications is November 6, 2020.

Please submit an application online for the Chancellor’s Executive Education Fellowship. Applicants will be required to upload a copy of their current resume and a letter of support from their manager at the end of the online application. Please ask interested employees to complete the application and upload the required materials by November 6, 2020.

An announcement of the Fellowship awards will be made in January 2021. Those not selected for the award are encouraged to consider applying directly to UCLA Anderson. A 30% discount is available for eligible UCLA managers and senior staff. Early application is recommended, since space is limited.

For questions about the Executive Program, please contact Alissa Materman at Anderson’s Executive Education office at alissa.brill@anderson.ucla.edu. For questions regarding eligibility, please contact David Fuller at Campus Human Resources at dfuller@chr.ucla.edu.

We appreciate your support of leadership development at UCLA.

With best regards,

Lubbe Levin
Associate Vice Chancellor
