2019-20 Management Seminar Series

To:

Deans, Directors, Department Chairs and Administrative Officers

Dear Colleagues:

I am pleased to invite campus leaders, including faculty, managers, and senior professional staff, to participate in the 2019-20 Management Seminar Series. This unique development opportunity is a continuation of our long-standing partnership with UCLA Anderson’s Executive Education Program.

“Cultivating Team Engagement and Productivity” is the theme for this year’s series. The program is designed to help participants strengthen management competencies, enhance professional networks, and leverage resources needed to ensure high-performance levels at the University. The series features presentations by Anderson faculty, who are national experts in their fields, and interactive dialogue with campus peers and colleagues.

Quarterly sessions are offered on the following topics:

Strategy for a Motivated Workforce, Jana Gallus

October 23, 2019

Time, Money, and Happiness, Cassie Mogilner-Holmes

December 5, 2019

Ethical Leadership and the Workplace, Eugene Caruso

February 6, 2020

Engaging One Another Across Differences, Heather Caruso

March 18, 2020

All academic and administrative leaders, faculty and professional staff in PSS 5 classifications and above are eligible to attend.

For more information about the series, review our eBrochure (PDF). To enroll, please visit the UC Learning Center and select the Management Seminar Series category.

Departments may reserve a package and designate different participants for individual seminars, provided they notify us in advance of their participation. The fee for the series is $500.

We appreciate your ongoing support of CHR Training and Development efforts to enhance leadership preparation. Please contact the Training Desk (straining@chr.ucla.edu) for enrollment assistance and Rejeana Mathis (rmathis@chr.ucla.edu) for program information.

We look forward to seeing you at the 2019-2020 Management Seminar Series.
