Work-Life Series: Learn to Live with Chronic Pain

Learn to Live and Work Well with Chronic Pain and Illness Presented by the Staff & Faculty Counseling Center

November 1, 8, 15 & 29 and December 6 & 13

As part of UCLA Staff and Faculty Counseling Center's Work/Life Series, you are invited to join us for the "Learn to live and work well with chronic pain and illness" program. If left untreated, chronic pain may become a “syndrome" affecting one’s work productivity, relationships and mood. In this six-week educational support group for UCLA staff and faculty, you'll begin to:

  • Understand the power of the mind
  • Learn relaxation techniques to reduce pain
  • Communicate more effectively
  • Increase productivity
  • Enhance quality of life

The group will be facilitated by Wendy Walsdorf, MFT, and will be held at the Staff & Faculty Counseling Center, 10920 Wilshire Blvd., Ste 380. The series will take place on six consecutive Thursdays beginning November 1, 2007, and ending December 13, 2007, from noon to 1 p.m. Space is limited so call to enroll at (310) 794-0245.
