Professional Development Program Nominations (2017-18)

Applications are now being accepted for the 2017-18 Professional Development Program (PDP).

As one of UCLA's most successful career development programs, PDP is beginning its 23rd year. The program assists the University in the development and retention of a highly skilled, diverse and motivated professional staff. The program has a demonstrated record of enhancing skills, strengthening institutional loyalty and broadening participants’ knowledge of University affairs.

The program features several components, including advanced skills training, mentoring, coaching, networking, and career assessment. Participants work with department sponsors on special projects of importance to UCLA, enabling them to demonstrate professional skills to campus leaders. Staff members at PSS Grades 2 - 6 and equivalent Programmer/Analyst levels are eligible to participate and must receive departmental endorsement.

The deadline for completed applications is March 30, 2017, and the program begins in August, 2017. Online applications, as well as a PDP ebrochure, are available in Related Information.

If you have any questions about PDP, contact Julia Sanchez, Manager–Training and Professional Development at extension 4-0853, or via email at JuliaSanchez@chr.ucla.edu.
